Where Resistance Becomes Wisdom

A lineage-rooted practice of compassion, awareness, and integration inspired by the Chöd practice of Tibetan Buddhism.

Feeding Your Demons®

What is it

Feeding Your Demons® is a five-step contemplative practice developed by Lama Tsultrim Allione, rooted in the ancient Chöd lineage of Machig Labdrön.
It offers a modern, embodied way to work with inner conflict, emotion, and resistance—transforming them into allies on the path of awakening.

Rather than rejecting what feels painful or unwanted, this practice invites us to meet the energy directly, personify it, listen to its true need, offer it nourishment, and integrate the wisdom that arises.
In doing so, we experience a return to wholeness—the dissolution of duality between resistance and acceptance, between fragmentation and the vastness of awareness.

Why it matters

In guided Feeding Your Demons® sessions, what feels painful or overwhelming is met with presence and compassion.

Each contraction—fear, anger, grief, or confusion—reveals its wisdom when held in awareness.

Rather than fixing the mind, the process opens space for natural integration and healing.

As awareness deepens, separation softens, and we recognize that even our most difficult emotions arise from the same luminous consciousness.

What it is not

Feeding Your Demons® is not psychotherapy or analysis. It does not diagnose, interpret, or aim to fix.

It is not a visualization game or quick emotional release. The process is sacred—rooted in awareness.

It is not about controlling or suppressing experience. Transformation happens through presence, not effort.

And it is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. It is a contemplative practice of awakening and compassion, offered within a held and safe space.

How it differs

Unlike many contemporary approaches to shadow or emotional work, Feeding Your Demons® arises from a living lineage of awakening. It is both ritual and meditation, blending visualization, dialogue, and offering into a single movement of compassion and transformation.

Rather than analyzing or releasing emotion, the process invites a sacred encounter—meeting each energy as an aspect of awareness itself, longing to return home.

In this way, the work becomes an embodied practice of nonduality: healing through relationship, presence, and the alchemy of love.

The Foundations We Cultivate

  • Presence and safety.
Each session begins by grounding in the body and opening the Heart, creating a field of awareness where everything can be met with compassion.

  • The five-step process.
Guided through recognition, personification, dialogue, offering, and integration—the complete arc of transformation within the Feeding Your Demons® work.

  • Embodied awareness.
Gentle attention to breath, pacing, and sensation allows the nervous system to remain open and receptive, so transformation unfolds naturally.

  • Integration.
After the offering, the energies of self and “demon” dissolve into spacious awareness. Integration is the quiet return to wholeness—resting in the stillness from which all healing arises.

  • Devotion and ethics.
All is held in a spirit of non-harming, truthfulness, and reverence for the sacred nature of this work.

How It Integrates with Tantra & Divine Alchemy

  • In Divine Alchemy, Feeding Your Demons® is one of the sacred gateways of transformation—where the same energy that fuels desire, resistance, or fear is met with compassion and transmuted into awareness.
It mirrors the Tantric path: nothing is rejected, everything is seen as the play of consciousness.

  • Through this practice, the inner “demons” become teachers—revealing how the movement of shadow and light, Shakti and Shiva, belongs to one field of love.
It is the alchemy of the Heart: meeting what arises, surrendering into awareness, and discovering that even the darkest energies are made of the same radiance.
